Are Creative Commons images really free to use on blogs?

I’m planning to use some images marked “Creative Commons” on my blog. Are there any risks, or are they 100% safe to use?

Creative Commons images are mostly safe, but you must follow the license. Some require attribution, others don’t allow modifications or commercial use.

To stay safe, I use Unsplash or Pexels. They offer high-resolution photos with very relaxed licenses, usually no attribution needed.
