How can I recover deleted photos from my Android phone?

I accidentally deleted some important pictures from my Android gallery and they are not in the trash. Are there any free tools that can help me recover them?

Use the DiskDigger app from the Play Store. It can recover recently deleted photos if they haven't been overwritten.

If your photos were backed up with Google Photos, go to photos.google.com and check the trash. They stay there for 30 days after deletion.
